The Studio School

Classes are intimate and practical — built around real studio habits, not shortcuts. Share your level and goals; we shape the right path for you.

All classes include

  • Lessons tailored to you

Guidance matched to your level — beginner, returning, or deepening a medium you already love.

  • Hands-on practice

Demonstrations you can watch, then try — with notes that stick after the session ends.

  • A supportive studio tone

Patient feedback, honest craft, and space to make without rushing toward perfection.

  • Tools & technique

How materials behave — paper, pigment, fabric, charcoal — so your hand learns the surface.

  • A path for your voice

Not copywork forever: habits that help you finish work and recognise what is yours.

Who It’s For

You do not need a portfolio — only curiosity and the willingness to look carefully.

  • Complete beginners

Start with seeing — line, value and simple studies that build confidence without overwhelm.

  • Returning makers

You used to draw or paint; life got loud. Classes help you re-enter with structure and joy.

  • Portrait seekers

Faces, presence and likeness — for anyone drawn to people as subject, in any medium.

How It Works

Four simple stages — clear, unhurried, and shaped around you.

Share Your Level & Goals

Tell me where you are — absolute beginner, returning after years, or ready for a specific medium. Mention preferred class, pace, and whether you prefer one-to-one or a small group when available.

Shape the Right Path

We match you to a class or seasonal workshop, confirm format (details shared on enquiry), materials to bring, and a schedule that fits. Nothing is locked until you are happy with the plan.

Learn Beside the Work

Sessions combine demonstration, guided practice and feedback. You leave with techniques you can repeat at home — not only a single finished piece in class.

Keep Making

Between sessions, simple practice prompts help the hand remember. When you are ready, you can deepen into another medium or a portrait-focused path.

Your Guide

A self-taught multi-medium artist whose joy is sharing craft — portraiture, colour, fabric and the quiet discipline of daily practice. Classes are transformative spaces where beginners and returning makers discover what their hand can hold.

  • Self-taught, still learning

Vibhuti’s path began at a kitchen table, not an academy. That origin shapes how she teaches — start where you are, with what you have.

  • Nine mediums, one craft

Charcoal sharpens acrylics; watercolour loosens drawing. Students learn fluency, not a single-trick formula.

  • Mentor, not performer

Sessions prioritise your hand and eye. The reward is confidence that lasts after class — and a lifelong connection with making.

Voices

Collectors and friends on the presence behind the craft — the same attention that guides every class.

I am no connoisseur of Art. But being a Psychiatrist by profession, I believe that Emotions are at the very core of our Human Existence. And True Art begins from the Emotions of the Artist, which in this case is Vibhuti Mehta, and ends in churning up the Emotions within the viewers. Vibhuti is indeed a very rare gifted Artist. She serves a purpose assigned to her by the Gods above, of conjuring up joy, hope and belonging, in a world fast becoming mechanical and robotic.

Dr Bharat VatwaniRamon Magsaysay Awardee 2018

I had the pleasure of experiencing the artistic brilliance of my friend Vibhuti, and I must say that her painting left me utterly spellbound. The painting she created of Shri Guru Nanak ji occupies a prominent place in my home, and we pray to it everyday! I'm not only impressed by her technical skill but also moved by the depth of expression embedded in every stroke. Vibhuti has succeeded in creating a masterpiece that resonates on both a visual and emotional level.
